Over time I've had a lot of people say "Why don't you not take pictures and just enjoy the moment with your own eyes?" Photography, to me, is art. I love to take a picture using my prospective, creating images for others to see and let them interpret the image's context much like someone would view an artist's painting. I love taking pictures and capturing moments and if any of those moments invoke a feeling in someone else, well that is a great bonus to what I already love to do.
